OUR MISSION

Operation Heart F.E.L.T. (Feeding Empty Little Tummies) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide nutritious meals to students and their siblings on weekends, holidays and extended school break periods. We believe that every child deserves the advantage good nutrition provides to physical, emotional and intellectual development.

WHY?

There are children in Hernando County who rely on school breakfast and lunch during the week and go without food on the weekends. Food insecurity is a growing problem and interferes with a child’s ability to learn.

Operation Heart F.E.L.T. is a part of the Backpack Program designed to meet the needs of Hernando County’s hungry children during weekends and school vacations.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can help the children of Hernando County by donating your time, food items or money to purchase food from our wish list.

Operation Heart F.E.L.T. is a 501(c)(3) and your monetary donations are tax deductible.
